The virtue of repeating the beginners class

About Levels in thai massage courses,

You may have noticed, Sunshine does not propose courses organised in levels ... Level 1, Level 2, level 3, ... Why ?

We simply care about the foundation of your practice.

We bet that if you personally need a massage, you may more likely entrust a “level 1” who gives massage regularly than a fresh “level 3” proudly showing off a piece of paper.

It is clear that "levels” tend to mean very little. In reality, they have been created to make it easier to sell a course. Not to help you build a mindful practice.

A more relevant way to get deeper in your practice.

Simply repeat the beginner’s course. Sunshine offers the possibility to repeat the same course with the same or a different teacher, but more especially with a different set of eyes and hands. It is a rare opportunity to be able to review all this “basics" with a bit more experience.

" ... I do not believe in splitting up learning into levels … we integrate advanced studies for experienced students alongside our beginner’s classes. This guarantees that students repeat the basics again and again, which is important to gain a deeper understanding but at the same time we give individual teachings on whatever aspect of Thai massage our students would like to explore more. This is not formalized, so our advanced students come up with their questions, often practical questions that have been arising throughout the year and ask us for teachings they find helpful for their practice..."
